While other professional sports have been brought to a complete halt with the coronavirus pandemic but the NFL season has not yet been affected. The league is expected to release its full 2020 schedule later this week and is planning on a full and regular schedule, according to ESPN.
The schedule will have the opener on September 10 and the Super Bowl will be on February 7 and envision fans in stadiums.
The league is also planning for a full preseason slate, including the Hall of Fame Game.
“If we have to make adjustments, we will be prepared to do so based on the latest guidance from our medical experts and public health officials and current and future government regulations,” league spokesman Brian McCarthy said.
“We made adjustments and conducted safely and efficiently key offseason activities such as free agency, the virtual off-season program and the 2020 NFL Draft.”
Teams are conducting completely virtual offseason programs as team facilities are closed until all states have ended their at-home orders.
