The NFL whet our appetite for live sports on Thursday night when the league released the 2020 regular-season schedule.

While there are obviously some rather serious reasons for why the season might not go off as planned or might not have fans in the stands when it happens, we can hope that things go well and football can come back into our lives, as well as all the other great sports that we’ve been missing out on over the past few months.

The season is set to start on Thursday, Sept. 10 in Kansas City when the Chiefs open up their title defense at home against the Texans. There are a number of great games, including Chiefs-Ravens in Week 3, very early in the season.

Now let’s look at 5 things you need to know about the schedule release:

1. My pal Henry McKenna broke down 7 teams that have the easiest paths to a division title, including the Chiefs. The Cowboys, Patriots and Bucs are also in there, so dive in and see what could play out in the fall.

2. The New York Jets and Miami Dolphins are going to make some weird history when they play each other in back-to-back games in November. That is just and odd scheduling quirk, one that hasn’t happened in a very long time.

3. Thursday Night Football actually has some interesting games this year -Packers/49ers, Eagles/Giants, Bucs/Bears, Chiefs/Bills – but there also some possible stinkers, including a Jets home game. Here are my 5 worst TNF games this season.

4. I also looked at the five biggest trap games in the NFL this season, games that include Patrick Mahomes, Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Lamar Jackson,  and Dak Prescott. Check those out here.

5. The Rams logo looks absolutely ridiculous when it’s listed among all the other team logos. I mean, how did the Rams stick with this garbage logo? Lots of fans Thursday night thought it was the Chargers and I can’t blame those fans one bit.

Thursday’s biggest winner: Jay Cutler.

Cutler is going through some personal woes, as his 7-year marriage with Kristin Cavallari is heading toward divorce. I explained why the former Broncos/Bears/Dolphins QB has all the right in the world to be “lazy” and “unmotivated.”

Quick hits: Peyton roasts Brady… Lonzo struggles in workout video… Loganos welcome their second child… And more!

– Peyton Manning showed off his tremendous sense of humor by hilariously roasting Tom Brady over the QB’s recent mistake in Tampa.

– Lonzo Ball was seen struggling in a workout video and fans let him have it.

– Joey Logano and his wife Brittany shared a photo of their new baby boy Jameson.

– Ahmad Rashad is somehow 70 years old, which is hard to believe when you see this photo of him.

– Kanye West’s latest Yeezy 451 sample leaked and my goodness are they terrible.
