The NFL Management Council just informed team officials the salary cap will be $198.2 million per club in 2020, per sources.

The number for the 2020 NFL salary cap has officially been set as of Sunday morning, and it comes in at $198.2 million.
Predictions for the salary cap this coming season were expected to land somewhere between $196.1 million and $201.2 million. This is the 7th consecutive year where the cap is projected to climb more than $10 million per club, year over year. Since 2011, the cap has increased roughly 65 percent and $76 million per club.
Obviously, this number is not far off from projections, so the Washington Redskins will plan to hit the free agency market with about $60 million in their pocket and several positions of need to fill. After giving the franchise tag to Brandon Scherff on Saturday, they will now continue to look towards the rest of the offense and try to fill holes at tight end and wide receiver, while also big-game hunting at the cornerback position.
