Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow took a brutal shot from Baltimore Ravens defender Marlon Humphrey during Thursday night’s Week 10 game.
Humphrey took a good three steps before leveling Burrow, who was in pain, and took a moment to get off the field.
While Humphrey and the Ravens will undoubtedly argue that he might’ve thought Burrow still had the ball, it’s the type of play that gets flagged constantly around the NFL — and especially from Thursday night’s crew, which averaged the most flags of any crew coming into the game.
While the broadcast mentioned that Burrow appeared to be in pain on the sideline when picking up his helmet with his non-throwing hand, he remained in the game and never got examined by trainers.
