NFL Prop Bets Payday – Week 1 MNF prop bets to bank on

Looking at the betting odds and lines and choosing the best NFL prop bets to make for the two Monday Night Football contests in Week 1.

As always, there are two Monday Night Football matchups in Week 1 that garner our attention. The first being the Pittsburgh Steelers against New York Giants. Immediately afterward, it’s an AFC matchup between the Tennessee Titans and the Denver Broncos.

To prepare you for those games, here are five Monday Night Football team/player prop bets you can bank on.

Week 1 MNF Prop Bets

Steelers RB James Conner to score and Steelers Win (-164)

The Steelers are big moneyline favorites over the Giants in Week 1, but there isn’t a ton of value on that line. If you want to boost that line some, consider taking Conner to score and for Pittsburgh to win.

The Steelers are making Conner their workhorse back for the 2020 season and he should receive all of the goal-line carries. Look for Pittsburgh to also get him involved in the passing game, as he should see 20-25 touches in this contest. He will likely get several opportunities to score and that should help lead the Steelers to a Week 1 victory.

Giants QB Daniel Jones OVER 15.5 rushing yards (-110)

One of the more underrated traits about Jones is his legs. While he will never be mistaken for Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen, he is a viable runner. And with the Giants having a young offensive line, he could be running for his life Monday night.

Look for Jones to have quite a few scrambles in this contest, as well as a few designed runs. Given his speed, any one run could easily allow the OVER 15.5 (-110) to hit on rushing yards.

Broncos QB Drew Lock OVER 227.5 passing yards (-110)

The Broncos tried to make their offense more explosive this offseason by adding the likes of WR Jerry Jeudy and WR K.J. Hamler. While Hamler won’t be available for this contest, the point remains. The Broncos want to be a high-volume passing offense.

In Week 1, they might not have a choice as Tennessee has one of the better defenses in football. The Titans are fantastic at stopping the run and dare quarterbacks to throw the ball down the field. Look for that to be the case for Lock as his passing yardage total sits at 227.5. Expect the Broncos to throw 30-35 times in this contest and for Lock to easily hit the OVER 227.5 (-110) on passing yards.

Titans WR A.J. Brown to score and Tennessee wins (+180)

One of the best things about the 2019 season for the Titans was the emergence of Brown as a rookie. He became a bonafide star, scoring seven touchdowns in the team’s final seven games. Brown became the team’s de facto No. 1 receiver as he and QB Ryan Tannehill developed chemistry in the second half of the season.

With the Titans likely to feed him once again this season, it won’t be a surprise if he finishes the year with double-digit touchdowns. With the Titans favored in this game, betting on Brown to score and Tennessee to win at +180 isn’t a bad bet.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley and Titans RB Derrick Henry to both score a touchdown (+160)

If you are looking for a fun player prop bet that can span over the two Monday Night Football games, consider betting on Barkley and Titans RB Derrick Henry to both score in Week 1. These are two of the best running backs in the NFL and both should see 20 or more touches.

Barkley is the riskier play here as he will be facing the better defense and scored only eight touchdowns last season. Considering the amount of work he will get in this game, this is a pretty enticing bet at +160.
