Giants RB Saquon Barkley UNDER 70.5 rushing yards (-110)

There is no doubt Barkley is one of the most talented running backs in the NFL. The same can’t be said for his offensive line. It’s one of the worst units in the NFL and they will be taking on arguably the best interior defensive line in the league against the Steelers.

Don’t expect Barkley to have much success on the ground as the Steelers aren’t going to let the former Penn State star beat them. Instead, look for Barkley to make more plays in the passing game. Take the UNDER 70.5 (-110) on rushing yards for Barkley in this contest.

Giants QB Daniel Jones OVER 0.5 interceptions (-189)

One of the things the Steelers do best is force interceptions. They are aggressive rushing the quarterback and that typically leads to errant throws. That will likely be the case Monday night as Jones will be pressured all game long. Look for the second-year quarterback from Duke to have a few interceptions in this contest.

Steelers UNDER 39.5 passing attempts (-115)

With this being Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger‘s first game back in nearly a year, they are going to want to protect him in this contest. It’s very unlikely he will throw the ball 40 or more times in this game as they will rely on the rushing attack to move the ball. Look for Roethlisberger to throw the ball 28-30 times and for most of his attempts to be closer to the line of scrimmage.

Steelers UNDER 26.5 passing completions (-110)

Using the same logic, it seems unlikely Roethlisberger will have a ton of completions in this game, especially with a relatively young wide receiver corps. While he could complete a high percentage of his passes, getting to 27 or more would be quite an accomplishment. It also would signal this game is closer than many anticipate. Don’t expect that to be the case in this Week 1 matchup.

Giants RB Saquon Barkley OVER 26.5 receiving yards (-112)

If the Giants do struggle to run the ball, look for them to find ways to get their best player involved on offense. Barkley can take any pass to the house and should see five or six targets in this game. With only needing to get to 27 receiving yards to hit the OVER 26.5 (-112), expect Barkley to meet that target at some point in the first half.
