NFL Prop Bet Payday – 5 Sunday Night Football prop bets to make in Week 3

Highlighting five NFL prop bets to make for the Week 3 Sunday Night Football matchup between the Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints.

One of the best games of the weekend features two NFC Super Bowl contenders facing off on Sunday Night Football. The 2-0 Green Bay Packers will face the 1-1 New Orleans Saints in primetime at Mercedes-Benz Superdome. To prepare you for that game, here are five Week 3 SNF prop bets you must make, courtesy of BetMGM.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers OVER 250.5 passing yards (-112)

One of the reasons this game is so highly anticipated is that it will feature two of the NFL’s best passers and neither are expected to have their top weapon in the passing game. For the Packers, WR Davante Adams is likely out and that means QB Aaron Rodgers will need to have a great contest in order for his team to win.

Look for Green Bay to put the game on his shoulders and for him to go well over 250 passing yards despite the lack of top pass catchers around him.

Packers QB Aaron Rodgers OVER 1.5 passing TDs (-121)

If you believe Rodgers is in for a big night, consider betting on him to throw two or more touchdowns in this contest. If Green Bay is behind early in this game, that could lead to a negative game-script for Rodgers, forcing him to throw the ball a ton.

While there is some concern about who he will throw to, look for Rodgers to throw two or three touchdowns in this game to keep the Packers competitive in New Orleans.

Saints QB Drew Brees OVER 33.5 passing attempts (-110)

After a poor outing in Week 2 on Monday Night Football, there are suddenly questions surrounding Brees. If we have learned anything from Brees in his career, it’s that you can’t doubt him in primetime in New Orleans. After a week of criticism, expect Brees to have a monster game, likely throwing close to 40 times.

Brees should be considered a near-lock to reach 300 yards and expect the Saints to throw the ball early and often Sunday night.

Saints QB/TE Taysom Hill to score a TD (+375)

With WR Michael Thomas out again this week, the Saints are going to have to be creative on offense to score 30 or more points. RB Alvin Kamara will certainly get a ton of red-zone looks, but don’t be surprised if Hill sees a few targets and touches near the end zone.

Hill has been working as a tight end and slot receiver over the last few weeks and head coach Sean Payton loves showing off his talented weapon in primetime. At nearly 4-1 odds, Hill isn’t a bad bet to reach the end zone in Week 3.

Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to score 2 or more TDs (+2200)

If you are searching for a real long-shot bet to root for on Sunday Night Football, consider taking Valdes-Scantling to score two or more touchdowns against the Saints. With Adams likely out due to a hamstring injury, Valdes-Scantling figures to see more action in the passing game.

If this is a vintage Rodgers performance on a big stage, it wouldn’t be a surprise if MVS was on the receiving end of a few of those touchdowns. At 22-1, this is a fun bet to make on both Valdes-Scantling and the Packers.
