NFL Power Rankings Week 9: Shocking upset puts new No. 1 team on throne

There’s a new king in the NFL power rankings.

A shift at the top is the main headline coming out of Week 9 with the Kansas City Chiefs shockingly crashing and burning in a 24-9 loss to the Denver Broncos.

The win on Sunday for the Broncos snapped a 16-game losing streak to the Chiefs, and it was the team’s first win over quarterback Patrick Mahomes. They toppled the kings of the NFL power rankings this week and paved the way for the Philadelphia Eagles to take the throne.

Things have looked shaky at times for the Eagles, but they have shown a knack for overcoming adversity and finding ways to win tough football games, including the one they had against the Washington Commanders in Week 8.
