The Philadelphia Eagles trailed by 11 in the first half Sunday and were still seven points behind the Washington Commanders early in the fourth quarter. But for the seventh time in their first eight games, the Eagles scraped together a win.
While the Eagles boast an NFL-best 7-1 record, there haven’t been many clean performances for the team this season. Philadelphia needed overtime to beat Washington earlier this year, squeaked past the Patriots in Week 1, and needed the Vikings to fumble away four possessions to beat them by six.
