NFL power rankings Week 8: Lions, Bills drop big, which 6-win team is No. 1?

The clubs who were the sexy “maybe they’re the best” picks this week fell flat while the upper echelon maintained their fast starts. Who reigns supreme for Week 8?

Week 7 is almost completely in the books and there was a ton of surprising action over the weekend. The biggest matchup of the week pitted the Miami Dolphins and Philadelphia Eagles in a matchup of two 5-1 teams. Somehow, the Eagles escaped the game without incurring a single penalty yard. That seems fair. The Dolphins made it close before Philly pulled away in the fourth quarter.

Meanwhile the Kansas City Chiefs looked to extend their season-long win streak to six in a matchup with their division rivals the Los Angeles Chargers. They did so, but two teams who were considered to be in the upper echelon of the league were exposed on Sunday. Detroit went into Baltimore and learned they weren’t up for the battle. The Bills somehow fell to their division rivals in the lowly Patriots. All in all, there was plenty in the results to shuffle things around in the latest power rankings.
