NFL Power Rankings Week 14: Eagles ousted, new team takes throne

There’s a new king in this week’s NFL power rankings.

For the first time in six weeks, there’s a new king sitting on the throne of the NFL power rankings, following a weekend where the top-two teams fell in defeat.

On Sunday, the San Francisco 49ers kicked down the doors of Lincoln Financial Field and rolled over the No. 1-ranked Philadelphia Eagles with little difficulty. It was a statement performance that reminded the NFL why the 49ers will likely be the scariest NFC team in the playoffs.

Meanwhile, on the AFC side of things, the Kansas City Chiefs ran into a brick wall at Lambeau Field, when facing quarterback Jordan Love and the Green Bay Packers.

It wasn’t as much of a statement performance as it was a coming-of-age ceremony for a young Packers team still putting the pieces together. Knocking off the defending Super Bowl champions is definitely a great start.
