NFL power rankings: Houston Texans continue rising

The Chiefs and Vikings remain the NFL’s only undefeated teams after byes in Week 6. Meanwhile, the Texans and Lions are surging.

The Kansas City Chiefs (5-0) and Minnesota Vikings (5-0) both had byes in Week 6, so their unbeaten records will stand for at least one more week.

Elsewhere in the NFL, the Houston Texans improved to 5-1 on Sunday with a convincing 41-21 victory over the struggling New England Patriots (1-5).

The Detroit Lions (4-1) also made a statement with a huge 47-9 demolishing of the Dallas Cowboys (3-3) on the road.

Meanwhile, the Chicago Bears are suddenly 4-2 following their 35-16 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars (1-5) in London. It’s probably worth noting that Chicago’s four wins have come against the Tennessee Titans (1-4), Los Angeles Rams (1-4), Carolina Panthers (1-5) and Jags (1-5). It might be too early to call the Bears the real deal, but they deserve some respect.

So, where does that leave us? Here are our latest NFL power rankings going into Week 7 of the 2024 NFL season.
