A few weeks ago, we didn’t know whether this would be the Raiders’ last game of the season. Now we know. It will be. They come into their season finale in Denver eliminated from the playoff race. This one’s for pride.
That pride goes both ways as these two teams historically hate each other. The Raiders would like to get a win at Mile High and the Broncos would like to keep their home field from being danced on by the hated Raiders.
In a sense, the Raiders have more to lose than the Broncos because should they lose, it will officially mean a losing record. Should they win, they can finish the season at 8-8. The Broncos are sitting at 5-10 and therefore will have a losing season regardless.
Neither team has played well down the stretch with both teams losing four of their last five. The Raider have lost five of their last six games, but the first loss was a hard-fought game against the top seeded Chiefs.
I suppose for that reason, the Raiders are favored by 2.5 points at Denver according to BetMGM.
