NFL Network believes these 2 prospects would be the Jaguars’ ideal top-2 picks

See who NFL Network thinks the Jaguars should take with their first two picks in the NFL draft.

It’s difficult for any NFL team to have a perfect draft just because of all the different scenarios that play out and trades that are made. Regardless NFL Network’s Chad Reuter made his list of his ideal top two picks for every team.

He believes the Jaguars should be thrilled if they land Michigan edge rusher Aidan Hutchinson in addition to having some good luck in the second round if Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum slips to pick No. 33. Here is what he had to say:

Signing ex-49er Arden Key bolstered the Jaguars’ edge depth, but Hutchinson is still well worth jumping on as a strong three-down player who will be a robust run defender andbring down any quarterbacks who are chased in his direction by Josh Allen. The retirement of Brandon Linder means Jacksonville will be in the market for a young center. Linderbaum may fall to the second round (like Creed Humphrey did last year, to the Chiefs’ good fortune) because of his lack of size and length. My comparison player for him is Ryan Kalil, who had a great career in Carolina (as a five-time Pro Bowler and two-time first-team All-Pro) after being picked in the second round in 2007.

This would be a perfect start to the draft for the Jags. They would be adding Hutchinson to start the process, who feels like a much surer thing than Georgia defensive lineman Travon Walker.

It’s unlikely that Linderbaum escapes the first round, but the team also couldn’t go wrong with a linebacker like Wisconsin’s Leo Chenal or Oklahoma’s Brian Asamoah. Then the franchise could also go receiver if the right one falls to the Jaguars with their second pick. So there aren’t a lot of bad choices for Jacksonville at 33.
