NFL free agency: Browns hosting former Seahawks WR Marquise Goodwin

Finding a legitimate No. 3 is still very much on the Seahawks’ to-do list.

The Seattle Seahawks are in need of a legitimate No. 3 option at wide receiver to play behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett. Despite this need, it appears the Seahawks are moving on from one of their in-house options.

Journeyman wide receiver Marquise Goodwin is taking a free agent visit with the Cleveland Browns. If Goodwin signs with Cleveland, it will be his fourth team in the last four seasons.

Goodwin played all of last year in Seattle, and did have moments where it looked like he was going to be a major part of the passing attack. His best game was in Week 7 when he torched the Los Angeles Chargers on 4 receptions for 67 yards and two touchdowns.

Goodwin also caught one of the biggest touchdowns for the Seahawks. Trailing the Buccaneers 21-9 with a little over four minutes to play, facing a 4th-and-1, quarterback Geno Smith found Goodwin in the back corner of the endzone to give Seattle a chance late.

Unfortunately, Goodwin failed to be a consistent impact, especially when Lockett missed time due to injury. Finding a legitimate No. 3 is still very much on the Seahawks’ to-do list.
