The NFL announced last month that the Rams-Jets matchup in Week 15 wouldn’t be part of the Saturday doubleheader that week. What the league didn’t say, however, was when the game will actually be played, leaving it as TBD on the schedule.
On Wednesday, we finally found out when Rams-Jets will kick off. That game is set for 4:05 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dec. 20 at SoFi Stadium. The 49ers-Cowboys game has been flexed out of the Sunday night slot in favor of Giants-Browns, as well.
The late-afternoon window always made the most sense for Rams vs. Jets, considering the game is being played at SoFi Stadium in the Pacific Time Zone. The winless Jets aren’t good enough to warrant a prime-time slot, and kicking off at 10 a.m. PT wouldn’t have been logical.
The game will be broadcast on FOX and will be just one of three games in the late-afternoon window alongside Eagles-Cardinals and Chiefs-Saints.
