The whole “We need to get worse before we get better” message that sports franchises send to their fanbases when they know they have to tank is one you send ahead of the offseason.
But the tweet sent by the Houston Texans to kick off NFL draft 2023 week — a reminder, this is a crucial draft for that franchise given that they could load up on first-round talent that could include the QB of the future — was just bizarre, both in timing in content.
