If you’ve ever been on social media then you know it’s a place where everyone basically just disagrees with each other and then yells at each other for being wrong.
Well, on Monday night we had a weird moment where just about everyone agreed on something – the refs in the Baltimore Ravens-Cleveland Browns game called one of the lamest roughing-the-passer penalties you’ll ever see.
I mean, this thing was a joke.
Baltimore’s Matthew Judon got through the line and got what looked like a normal hit on Baker Mayfield. This is football, so guys are going to get tackled. Even quarterbacks.
Check out this clean play:

Come on now, refs. What is Judon supposed to do there?
Twitter was not impressed:
Bad call on 99

Roughing the passer is getting absolutely ridiculous. No way you can throw that flag on #Judon… did nothing wrong at all.

Two-hand touch only apparently.

Where did Judon rough the passer 😐😐😐

Man. I’m not sure how Matthew Judon is supposed to make that hit cleanly.

This was called “roughing the passer” on #Ravens No. 99 Matthew Judon.
I’m miffed as to what that call is defined by at this point. pic.twitter.com/71zIGBzyWh
