When the Tennessee Titans traded A.J. Brown in the offseason, some figured Tennessee would come to regret moving on from one of the NFL’s best young playmakers. Ever since, Brown has become a centerpiece of the Philadelphia Eagles offense, while the Titans now sometimes struggle to generate much in the passing game.
When the two squads matched up in Philadelphia on Sunday, Brown’s stellar performance was a hearty reminder of what seemed like a massive mistake on the Titans’ part.
It started with a 40-yard touchdown in the second quarter, where the Tennessee secondary had a huge blown coverage on the receiver:

Woof, no matter what the state of your defense is — how do you let a guy like Brown get so open? Predictably, the Eagles’ star wasn’t done sticking it to his former team.
This time, in the early third quarter, with a defensive back draped all over him, Brown made another sick play for a deep score:
AJ Brown is having a field day against his former team. This is his second TD and it was a beauty.
No idea how he came down with this.pic.twitter.com/YCxiF8yNA2

Look at the pure jubilation on Brown’s face as he postures for the camera. That is a man clearly happy he’s letting his former team see what they’re missing out on.
For posterity: Brown caught eight passes for 119 yards and two touchdowns in a blowout Eagles’ 35-10 win. The entire Titans’ receiving corps amassed 16 catches for 157 yards and one score. Gee, seems like Tennessee could’ve used Brown!
The Eagles are the NFC’s leading powerhouses, partly thanks to Brown’s services. And both parties can thank the Titans for allowing him to call Philadelphia home.
