It has happened – the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers have finally begun their Week 12 game that was initially scheduled for Thanksgiving Day before being moved to last Sunday, then to yesterday and then finally to today.
Wednesday afternoon football is now a thing and it is, to quote Larry David… pretty, pretty, pretty good.
The Steelers, who deserved better from the NFL during all of this, might not be too happy about how all of this played out with the Ravens and their COVID-19 issues, but fans are loving this new thing of a midweek NFL game.
Twitter had lots of jokes and feelings about this thing:
There’s no tradition quite like the NFL on a Wednesday afternoon.

It’s a Wednesday afternoon in December and there’s a football game in a mostly empty stadium playing on my TV next to a Christmas tree.
This feels strangely normal
