Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs were trailing the Buffalo Bills by three points when they got the ball back late in their Divisional Round playoff game at Arrowhead on Sunday.
Usually one wouldn’t think twice about Mahomes being able to lead his team to at least the field goal they’d need to tie things up but this time he had just 13 SECONDS LEFT IN THE GAME.
What Mahomes did next was incredible. Following a touchback, Mahomes connected with Tyreek Hill on a 19-yard pass and then after a few time outs he hit Travis Kelce for 25 yards that put the Chiefs at the Bills 31 yard line and allowed Harrison Butker to run on the field and boot 49-yard field goal to send the game to overtime.
Mahomes did all of that in 13 seconds!

The Chiefs then went on to win in OT with a Mahomes TD pass to Travis Kelce and will host the Bengals in the AFC title game next Sunday.
But let’s get back to that 13-second drive to get season-saving points. Fans had a lot of jokes about how Mahomes could get that down while the Dallas Cowboys ran a QB sneak that ate up 14 seconds and ended their season last week.
