Tom Brady has had a long, legendary career that has spanned over 20 years and has included lots of really good history.
On Monday night, however, he made some weird history (I don’t think any other QB has ever done this before and I apologize if someone has), as he completed two forward passes on one play and then was flagged for doing so because that is not allowed.
Brady, who got the benefit of a questionable call earlier in the game against the Rams, caught his own pass after Terrell Lewis batted it back and then Brady tried to get away with a fast one as he tossed the ball to Mike Evans who made the catch.
Making this even more bizarre is that Evans was short of the first down so the Rams declined the penalty and the Bucs punted the ball away. The second throw counted!

Tom Brady, so good he completed two passes and had one reception on the same play pic.twitter.com/KTOHGjiQGP

NFL fans had lots of jokes:
Brady has now had one game where he forgot what down it was, and one game where he forgot you can’t make two forward passes on the same play. Getting old sucks.

Tom Brady throwing two forward passes at the same play is so 2020.

Shocked the NFL doesn’t allow Brady to throw two forward passes

So first Brady thinks he gets 5 downs, now he thinks he can throw two passes on the same play, okaaay… #RamsHouse #LARams #LARvsTB

The refs really wanted to let those two passes on one play from Brady slide

So Tom Brady, the “GOAT”, thought he could throw two forward passes in one play? Couldn’t be my GOAT 🤷♂️

Brady should know better than anyone that you can’t make two forward passes 🤣 #HeThinksHeIsSlick

Tom Brady has been playing in the league for 37 years and he didn’t know he could throw two forward passes during the same play?
