Mitchell Trubisky was triumphant over Jason Garrett and the Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. That speaks to the level of dysfunction in Dallas.
In Week 14, the Cowboys suffered their third consecutive loss, and found themselves at 6-7. Somehow, that’s good enough to keep them atop an awful NFC East. Though that’s little consolation for a Dallas team that is struggling to move the ball on offense when it’s not garbage time. Their difficulties on Thursday led to immense and apparent frustration from tight end Jason Witten. The Cowboys special teams units still look like some of the worst in the NFL. And their defense, though it seems to have spirit with Michael Bennett, hasn’t produced. It has to be a matter of when — not if — Jerry Jones will fire Garrett.
Naturally, fans and media members were calling for the Cowboys to part ways with Garrett. They were also in disbelief that the Cowboys could be atop a division while the 10-2 San Francisco 49ers could be second in the NFC West. Here’s a look at the conversation after Dallas’ ugly loss.
Might start a Madden franchise just so I can fire Jason Garrett.

There’s no way on this green Earth that the #Cowboys record should be 6-7 and yet…

Cowboys will now yell, scream, pout, etc. and Jerry Jones will talk about how they can still win the Super Bowl and then they will lose to the Rams next week.

Troy Aikman, on the Cowboys: “The talk is over and it has been over for a long time.”
