Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson pulled a fast one on the New York Giants and everyone watching Sunday night’s game when he pulled starting QB Jalen Hurts early in the fourth quarter for Nate Sudfeld, who hadn’t played in a game since 2018 and had only played in three games in his 4-year NFL career.
The Eagles went on to lose the game, 20-14. which gave Washington the NFC East title and ended the Giants season.
Pederson gave a lame explanation for his decision after the game.
Cris Collinsworth ripped the Eagles for it during the game.
And Twitter crushed Pederson, too:
NFL should be embarrassed by Doug Pederson

No one should feel bad for the Giants. As I said, they made their bed.
This is a bigger issue about the integrity of this game that Doug Pederson is mocking. Hard not to see it any other way.

You are my enemy Doug Pederson

Doug Pederson should be ashamed. What happened to “integrity of the game”?

A disgraceful end to a dreadful #Eagles season. Many will applaud the tank and three spots in the draft, but it spoke volumes about the current culture of the organization.

The #Eagles announce Doug Pederson postgame press conference will happen in front of Four Seasons Total Landscaping.

Doug Pederson and the Eagles suckered thousand of Giants fans into rooting for a Philly team and then went full heel turn in the fourth quarter.
This is amazing theater.

Does Doug Pederson still want to be here?? Asking for a friend…and the rest of the NFL.
— Andrew Siciliano (@AndrewSiciliano) January 4, 2021
Doug Pederson couldn’t tank any harder if he literally drove a tank onto the field.

If an Eagles player recovers a fumble and starts running toward the end zone along the Philly sideline, would Doug Pederson trip him?

Dude Doug Pederson is a Super Bowl winning coach and he's just throwing a game? This is 1000 percent wack.

Doug Pederson has been listening to a podcast on his headset for at least the past 25 minutes.
