NFL fans can’t decide if this gravity-defying DK Metcalf video is real or fake

Metcalf’s invitation to join the Avengers should be coming any day now.

It’s well established that DK Metcalf is among the best — if not the best — deep threats in the entire NFL.

Metcalf has a seemingly impossible athletic profile. The Seattle Seahawks receiver ran a 4.33 40-yard dash and registered a 40.5-inch vertical jump at the NFL combine, which feels like it should be illegal for someone who stands at 6-foot-4 and 235 pounds.

Seeing those numbers and watching him in action on the football field is one thing. But in a video that made the rounds on Friday afternoon, Metcalf seemingly learned how to fly.

I mean, was this taken on the moon?

This video looks so impossibly absurd that it likely isn’t real — and given that this is the internet, it’s probably best to lean that way. Metcalf’s an exceptional athlete, but he isn’t Superman. I know, I know. Sorry to rain on your parade.

Still, this was a genuine event during Super Bowl week that Metcalf, George Kittle and Stefon Diggs participated in, and the video sparked quite a debate on NFL Twitter with many believing it to be legitimate.
