That’s seriously happening on Thursday, with the former Panthers great — who spent a not-so-great year with the New England Patriots and was released after Bill Belichick drafted Mac Jones — coming back home to replace the injured Sam Darnold.
NFL fans were delighted by the news — how many times does this happen, especially after such an awkward divorce?? — and of course they took to Twitter to celebrate.
Thing is, they all made the same joke: Hey, let’s see if I can Photoshop Newton into his new uniform.
