NFL discourages players-only workouts due to COVID spikes

The Pittsburgh Steelers might not be training individually prior to training camp.

The NFLPA sent out a memo on Saturday to all players asking that they no longer participate in players-only workouts until the teams can get back together officially as a group.

We’ve seen countless videos online of players getting together informally to train while they wait for the start of training camps. But with so many states seeing significant spikes in positive COVID-19 tests, the NFL has asked players to continue to keep their distance.

I don’t see any way the NFL could enforce this but you can bet if players do continue to train together they aren’t going to plaster it all over social media.
