NFL compensatory picks release, Browns receive no extra 2024 NFL draft picks

The Browns were awarded no additional draft picks.

On the heels of the 2024 NFL draft, the NFL has released all of the added compensatory picks each team will receive. And for the second straight season, the Cleveland Browns will not be the beneficiary of any added picks.

The Browns received two compensatory picks in the 2022 NFL draft after Kwesi Adofo-Mensah was hired as the general manager of the Minnesota Vikings. However, they have not had any since then.

Outside of the new rule of receiving two compensatory picks for the hire of a minority general manager or head coach, compensatory picks are awarded for teams who lose more talent in free agency than they bring in. And for the Browns, who have been big spenders the past two offseasons, they do not fit this bill.

As they are continuously clearing cap space and look primed for another big offseason, do not expect the Browns to receive any compensatory picks next year either.
