Just as a large portion of the country has begun to reopen slowly and in waves, so too has the NFL. Although there are still no team workouts taking place or practices happening due to the coronavirus as they ordinarily would in any given year, we’re moving closer to the return of football.
The NFL sent a memo to teams on Thursday announcing the next step of reopening, allowing coaching staffs to return to their respective facilities. Additionally, the limit of people in the building has been raised from 75 to 100.
Nothing has changed for players, however, with only those who are rehabbing injuries able to enter the building.

Although California has been one of the strictest states in terms of businesses reopening, the Rams are still expected to be among the teams that’s able to get its coaching staff back in the building.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the 49ers are the only team that the league anticipates will not be able to return on Friday.
More on the NFL welcoming back coaches: The league anticipates only the #49ers not be able to get to their facility tomorrow. The team is aware and supportive of the plan and has been in communication with its local authorities to obtain all necessary permissions when available.

This latest development is especially important for the Rams, who have new coordinators on offense, defense and special teams. Aside from video conferences and phone conversations, Sean McVay’s work with his new coordinators has been limited.
By getting back in the building, their communication and coordination should be much easier.
