The Tennessee Titans and the rest of the teams in the NFL will now have two extra days to decide which players will be designated with the franchise and/or transition tags, as the dates have been pushed back.
According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the NFL and NFLPA have agreed to move the starting date that players can be tagged back two days to February 27th, and the deadline back to March 12th.
The NFL and NFLPA have agreed to revise the franchise and transition tag deadlines, sources tell me and @RapSheet. Tags can now be applied Feb. 27 through March 12, two days later than originally planned.

Originally, the starting date for tagging players was on February 25th, with the deadline coming on March 10th.
In a normal year, teams can only use one of the two tags, however with no new CBA having been agreed upon yet, teams are allowed to use both tags in 2020.
Should a new CBA be agreed upon before the start of the new league year on March 18th, teams would only be allowed to use one of the two tags.
The newest CBA proposal has been ratified by the owners, but the players have yet to cast their votes on it. While the players’ vote was originally scheduled for Friday, that has been pushed back.
The Titans have three players who they could tag this offseason. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill, running back Derrick Henry and right tackle Jack Conklin are all possible candidates.
It would be to the Titans’ benefit to have the option of using both tags, but that may end up not being an option.
