Former Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has completed his rookie season. He started the latter half of the year for the Miami Dolphins, but his performance has drawn plenty of criticism from fans and analysts.
NFL analyst David Carr offers strong counterpoints to the anti-Tagovailoa mob.
He has a strong player comparison for Tagovailoa.
Carr believes that Tagovailoa resembles a young Steve Young, and in more ways than just being a lefty.
“…when you look at the film, you see similarities, and you see why people get excited and why the Miami Dolphins are excited. He looks like Steve Young. I mean, that’s the guy he is going to turn into. It’s just going to take a little time,” said Carr.
Young went on to have a very succesful NFL career, which is headlined by three Super Bowl championships.
