NFL Analysis Network suggests Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph as a good trade option

Could you see the Vikings trading tight end Kyle Rudolph?

The NFL Analysis Network’s Evan Massey listed a trade option for each NFC North team, and the one he picked for the Vikings was pretty surprising.

Massey suggested that trading Kyle Rudolph might be good for the Vikings. Here’s the explanation:

“Kyle Rudolph was mentioned last offseason as a potential player on the move. The Vikings drafted Irv Smith Jr. in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft. He showed major potential last season and the Vikings could look to get him an even bigger role in 2020.”

Though Massey did mention that the Vikings trading Rudolph would be a surprise, he also wrote that “if the Vikings do look to make a move, Rudolph is the only player that would make sense.”

I’m not so sure it will happen, and Rudolph has been decent at times, but if Smith Jr. is ready for a bigger role, then a move like that could benefit the Vikings.
