Week 11 of the NFL season is over and things are tightening up in the NFC playoff picture. The Arizona Cardinals are one of three NFC West teams who would make the postseason if the season were to end today.
The No. 1 seed in the conference, the New Orleans Saints, are only two games better than the Cardinals, who are the seventh seed.
Here is what the NFC playoff picture looks like after Week 11.
- New Orleans Saints 8-2
- Los Angeles Rams 7-3
- Green Bay Packers 7-3
- Philadelphia Eagles 3-6-1
- Seattle Seahawks 7-3
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers 7-3
- Arizona Cardinals 6-4
The Chicago Bears are the team behind the Cardinals at 5-5. No one else in the conference is even at .500.
Arizona would have to travel to Los Angeles to face the Rams in the wild-card round if the season ended now.
New Orleans, of course, is without starting quarterback Drew Brees, who is on injured reserve currently. He broke several ribs and suffered a punctured lung. Taysom Hill started in his place against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 11. The Seahawks beat the Cardinals 28-21 in Week 11 on Thursday night and the Rams beat Tampa Bay 27-24 on Monday night.
