The Green Bay Packers opened up their 2024 season playing on a Friday night in Brazil. The unconventional location and time proved costly for the team most often cited as the biggest challenge to NFC North supremacy for the Detroit Lions.
The Packers lost to the Philadelphia Eagles, 34-29, and might have lost starting quarterback Jordan Love to an injury. Love went down late in the game with a lower body injury that has Packers fans quite worried.
Love didn’t have a great night, nor did Green Bay coach Matt Lafleur. The Packers opted for several short field goals instead of pushing for points when the Eagles defense was not clicking. The Packers also committed 10 penalties.
While everyone awaits word on Love, the Packers are 0-1 and host the Indianapolis Colts in Week 2.
