The Bears have parted ways with a former high draft pick.
Per multiple outlets, the Bears traded Adam Shaheen to the Dolphins in exchange for a conditional 2021 sixth-round pick.
That should be marked as a loss for Chicago’s front office considering the team drafted the tight end in the second round of the 2017 draft.
Since, Shaheen has failed to stay healthy, and even when he was healthy, he failed to contribute much.
As a rookie in 2017, he had 12 catches for 127 yards and three touchdowns in 13 games. In the last two seasons, he’s appeared in just 14 games and has had less than 200 combined receiving yards.
The Dolphins have Mike Gesicki, Durham Smythe and Michael Roberts as tight ends on their roster in 2020.
