Let the games begin!
The Chicago Bears have themselves a quarterback controversy. Dissatisfied with Mitchell Trubisky’s development, the team brought in veteran Nick Foles this offseason.
The hope was that the competition would bring out the best in both of them. Based on reports out of Bears training camp, that has not happened. And now head coach Matt Nagy can’t decide which flavor of overpaid waffle he’ll serve to the Detroit Lions as the starter when the two teams face off on Sept. 13th.
Nagy told Chicago reporters he has not yet decided who will be under center in Week 1. While Foles has generally been the better player, Trubisky has authored some of his best work against the Lions in his three prior seasons as Chicago’s starter.
