NFC North update: Packers fall short of Super Bowl with loss to the Buccaneers

The Minnesota Vikings’ NFC North opponents, like the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, have been in the news a bit recently.

For Vikings fans, the 2020 season was a hard one.

Minnesota started 1-5. Its defense and special teams were pretty incompetent and the team fell out of playoff contention, finishing the year 7-9.

What’s even worse for Vikings fans? Both the Bears and Packers made the postseason. At least neither ended up winning it all.

Green Bay was the final NFC North team to have its season end, losing to Tampa Bay on Sunday. The Packers went 13-3 in the regular season and had home-field advantage in the playoffs.

That wasn’t enough to stop Tom Brady and Tampa Bay from getting the 31-26 victory.

In other NFC North news: the Lions hired their head coach: Dan Campbell. Detroit will also hire Anthony Lynn to be its offensive coordinator.
