The NFL coaching carousel has begun and Doug Pederson is set to have some competition among his coaching peers in the division.
Michael Silver of NFL.com is reporting that the Redskins are set to announce former Carolina Panthers head coach, Ron Rivera to the same position.
The Ron Rivera deal is done. He has reached an agreement to become the new coach of the Redskins, according to a source familiar with negotiations. @AroundTheNFL @nflnetwork

Carolina fired Rivera on Dec. 3 and he was viewed as a strong candidate that wouldn’t have to wait long for a chance at another opening.
Washington parted ways with team president Bruce Allen on Monday after 10-years and six different head coaches.
In Washington, Rivera will inherit a young team with plenty of playmakers, including quarterback Dwayne Haskins and wide receiver, Terry McLaurin.
Washington also owns the No. 2 pick in the 2020 NFL draft.
