Hubert Davis and the UNC basketball program officially entered the race for five-star point guard Boogie Fland by offering him on Tuesday. Now, the Tar Heels are hoping to get an official visit from the recruit.
Fland spoke to Jason Jordan of Sports Illustrated on Wednesday to talk about his new offers with UNC and Auburn. In that interview, Fland talked about his Summer and how he’s elevated his game to being one of the top prospects in the 2024 class. And now the next step is taking visits.
Fland revealed that he will start setting up visits in late August to programs as his recruitment picks up.
“I’m gonna try and set some visits up later in August,” Fland says. “I lean on my coach for that, so we’ll see. I’m excited to start taking official visits though. I know that’s when you get the full treatment. You get a sense on an unofficial, but you get to see everything that you need to see on the official. I’ll be taking a good number of visits because I want to see everything. I’m in no hurry.”
The recruit is in no hurry to make a decision in his recruitment. but getting him on campus for a visit would be big for the Tar Heels.
