Prediction

Yankees 10, Red Sox 4

Money line (ML)

The Yankees offense is clicking on all cylinders. New York (-189) outscored Toronto 43-15 in its recent sweep and set an MLB record with 19 HRs in a three-game span.

Now the Yankees visit the Red Sox, whom they are a perfect 7-0 against in 2020. Plus, they are 2-0 in Montgomery’s two starts vs. Boston this season.

However, the -189 price is a bit steep. So, I’m going PASS and take my chances and play the run line.

New to sports betting? Every winning $1.89 bet on the Yankees ML will profit $1. Every $1 bet on the Red Sox (+170) profits $1.70 if they win.

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

The YANKEES (-1.5, -134) are the STRONGEST PLAY. Keep in mind they have to win by 2 runs or more, but there’s not as much risk at -134.

Not only are they 8-1 vs. the RL in their last nine games, all 7 wins vs. the Red Sox (+1.5, +105) this season were by 2 runs or more. (Strongest plays should be 1½ times your usual wager.)

Over/Under (O/U)

The OVER 10.5 (-110) is the play. This is the first time – and only series – these rivals play at Fenway Park this season as the first seven games were at Yankee Stadium.

Of the 10 head-to-head meetings in Boston last year, seven had at least 11 combined runs – including five games with at least 15 runs.
