Knicks at Nuggets picks and predictions

Prediction

Nuggets 119, Knicks 117

Moneyline

PASS.

I slightly lean towards the Nuggets to win this game, especially if Towns is out, but they’re not worth the risk of betting on as -165 favorites. I recommend passing on this bet and playing the spread and/or total instead.

Against the spread

LEAN KNICKS +3.5 (-110).

New York has covered the spread in 2 of its last 3 games and is 3-1 ATS in the last 4 meetings.

The Knicks, despite their record, are still a very good team, while Denver has some inconsistent pieces and is missing a big contributor on both sides of the ball in Gordon, so the Knicks have a good shot at covering here.

This is a lean because this bet depends heavily on the health of Towns, who has been the best player for New York this year.

Over/Under

BET OVER 232.5 (-105).

The Over has hit in 2 of Denver’s last 3 games and is 7-3 in its last 10. For New York, the Over is 2-1 in its last 3 games and 4-2 in its last 6. The Over has also hit in 2 of the last 3 meetings in Denver.

This bet is much safer if Towns is able to play, as he generates a lot of offense for New York while also being a bad defender, so he’s the perfect player to help the Over hit in any matchup.
