The New York Knicks (25-26) are on the road Wednesday as they visit the Boston Celtics (25-26). Tip-off from TD Garden will be at 7:30 p.m. ET. Below, we analyze the Knicks-Celtics odds and lines, with NBA picks and predictions.
The Knicks have lost four of their last five games after winning three straight. PF Julius Randle has played well of late and is averaging a career-high 22.9 points per game and 10.8 rebounds per game, as well as 6.0 assists. New York’s latest loss came to the Brooklyn Nets by a narrow 114-112 count Monday night.
The Celtics have been as inconsistent and frustrating as any team in the NBA this season. Now below .500 at 25-26, the Celtics have lost five of their last nine games, including a 10-point defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia 76ers Tuesday night. Despite being mostly healthy, the Celtics have struggled to play well consistently in the last month or so.

Knicks at Celtics: Odds, lines, predictions and picks
Prediction
Knicks 104, Celtics 102
Money line (ML)
It’s hard to feel good about betting on the Celtics right now after seeing the way they’ve played in the last month or so. The Knicks haven’t been all that impressive, either, but their defense typically keeps them in games.
Bet the KNICKS (+125) to win outright on the road, especially with Walker out for Boston. Make it a smaller wager because the spread is an even better play.
Play our new free daily Pick’em Challenge and win! Play now!
Against the spread (ATS)
The Celtics are giving up 3 points to the Knicks, which is somewhat surprising given Walker’s planned absence. The Knicks should be able to control the paint with Randle, and they have the length to match up with Celtics SF Jayson Tatum, making this a tough matchup for Boston.
Take the KNICKS +3 (-110) to cover.
Over/Under (O/U)
The Over/Under is only 209.5 points, largely because the Knicks allow the fewest points per game in the NBA at 104.1.
The total has gone Under the projected line in seven of the last 10 games for both teams and that should continue Wednesday after Boston scored just 96 points Tuesday against the 76ers.
Bet the UNDER 209.5 (-110).
