According to Kim Jones of NFL Network, the New York Jets are placing former Michigan State RB Le’Veon Bell on the injured reserve due to a hamstring injury. Bell apparently suffered the injury during a 30-yard reception.

Le’Veon Bell will be eligible to come off of the injured reserve for the Oct. 11 game against the Cardinals.

There were reports in late August that Bell left practice due to ‘hamstring tightness’ but Bell was quick to dismiss said reports.

Against Buffalo, Bell carried the ball six times for 14-yards and had two receptions for a total of 32-yards. Hopefully, he can recover swiftly from this injury and return to the field. Bell has worked hard to come back this season in tip-top shape.
