So, this is getting very exciting. USC women’s basketball goes to the San Francisco Bay Area this weekend to face an angry Stanford team on Friday and then a below-average Cal team on Sunday.
If USC loses to Stanford — a team projected to be a No. 1 seed at the NCAA Tournament — the Trojans obviously would not suffer to any real degree. They already beat Stanford and have that gleaming win on their resume. No one expects them to sweep the Cardinal.
As long as USC goes to Berkeley on Sunday and takes care of business against Cal, the Trojans should be good to go for the NCAA Tournament, which would be USC women’s basketball’s first NCAA bid since 2014.
One win likely puts USC in the field of 68. Two wins make USC an absolute lock. It’s really fun to talk about these kinds of things, and that’s exactly what we did on our latest USC women’s hoops podcast.
You won’t get USC women’s basketball podcasts at a lot of other outlets. Make Trojans Wire your home for USC women’s basketball coverage through the NCAA Tournament.
