The Philadelphia 76ers are sitting at the top of the Eastern Conference as they head into the final 16 games of the season and they have been led by the superstar play of big man Joel Embiid. The big fella is averaging 30.0 points and 11.1 rebounds and shooting 51.6% from the floor.
He is a serious candidate for MVP at the end of the season as he has been absolutely terrific all season long. He is in the running with players like Nikola Jokic, Luka Doncic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo who have all had terrific seasons in their own right.
New team acquisition Anthony Tolliver is already on the Embiid MVP train as he gave the big man his vote on Twitter.
The impact of international basketball in one tweet! …Embiid is MVP though 🤷🏾‍♂️🤷🏾‍♂️ https://t.co/DJrTYwqYja

Tolliver joins Ben Simmons and others who believe the MVP award should go to Embiid. The Sixers will need the superstar big man to be at his healthiest best for when the playoffs roll around May 22 and if he is, they will have as good a chance as anybody to win a championship.
