New Ravens S Marcus Williams tweets out excitement about playing in Baltimore

New Ravens safety Marcus Williams tweeted out a welcome message about playing for the team

The Baltimore Ravens made one of the biggest splashes of 2022 free agency after staying relatively quiet over the first 24 hours of the legal tampering period. It was reported by Jeremy Fowler of ESPN that the team is expected to sign former New Orleans Saints safety Marcus Williams to a five-year, $70 million deal.

Shortly after the news was announced, Williams took to Twitter to express his excitement about playing for Baltimore. The safety said that he’s grateful and that he can’t wait to begin working, signaling that he is over the moon with his decision to sign with the Ravens.

Williams is exactly what Baltimore needs in the back-end of their secondary. He’s a true ballhawking safety and should be able to force turnovers with his playmaking ability. This is a very pivotal offseason for the Ravens, and Baltimore general manager Eric DeCosta’s first of what should be many 2022 free agency transactions was a home run. Williams appears to share that same train of thought.
