New pass rusher hits market as Seahawks release Carlos Dunlap

Dunlap could be a lower-cost option in free agency for the Cardinals to address their pass rush.

The Arizona Cardinals could still use some help with their pass rush, as Chandler Jones left in free agency to sign with the Las Vegas Raiders. A familiar pass rusher is hitting the open market.

The Seattle Seahawks have released Carlos Dunlap.

Dunlap had 8.5 sacks for the Seahawks last season.

He could be a lower-cost option for the Cardinals if they wish to add a pass rusher in free agency.

Dunlap will be 33 years old this season. He knows Cardinals defensive coordinator Vance Joseph. Joseph was on the Cincinnati Bengals’ coaching staff while Dunlap played there.

However, Dunlap has only played in a 4-3 defense and was a part-time player for the Seahawks, playing in only 38% of Seattle’s defensive snaps.
