New Orleans Saints trade with Bears, move up to the front of Round 4

The New Orleans Saints traded with the Chicago Bears, moving up to the front of Round 4:

And we’re off: Day 3 of the 2023 NFL draft hasn’t even started yet, but the New orlean saints have already made a trade. NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero first reported that the Saints traded with the Chicago Bears to move up to the front of Round 4, but we don’t know yet who they’re targeting.

The terms of the trade:

  • New Orleans receives: No. 103
  • Chicago receives: Nos. 115 and 165

So the Saints spent one of their fifth-round picks (they are also slotted in at No. 146) to move up a dozen slots in the fourth round. It felt like a move up the board was inevitable after the Saints didn’t trade at all through the first three rounds for the first time since 2015.

What are they cooking? Stay tuned for their selection when the fourth round officially starts at 11 a.m. CT.
