The New Orleans Saints (5-2) may have a lot of close victories, two of which came in overtime, but they’re still near the top of the NFC with a record well above .500. They’re legitimate contenders to win the Super Bowl this season, especially with WR Michael Thomas on his way back to the lineup soon.
Below, we analyze the midseason New Orleans Saints 2020 Super Bowl odds, their odds of winning the NFC South, as well as NFL futures and opine on whether they’re worth a Super Bowl futures bet at this time.

The Saints’ Super Bowl odds currently sit at +1400, which is just behind the Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC, and tied with the Green Bay Packers. Despite starting the year 5-2, the Saints’ Super Bowl odds have actually increased from where they were in August (+1200).
The offense has been carried by RB Alvin Kamara, who has more than 36% of the team’s total yards this season. The absence of Thomas, who has played just one game this season, has loomed large, especially for QB Drew Brees. New Orleans ranks seventh in points scored (29.4 per game) but only 23rd in points allowed defensively (28.1 per game).

Saints division betting odds
- Tampa Bay Buccaneers -189
- New Orleans Saints +135
- Carolina Panthers +15000
- Atlanta Falcons +25000
The Buccaneers are up half a game on the Saints in the NFC South but New Orleans holds a head-to-head tiebreaker over Tampa Bay after winning their Week 1 matchup. The Saints will still face the Bucs once more, the Falcons twice and the Panthers one more time. New Orleans’ schedule looks fairly favorable, with games against the Philadelphia Eagles, Denver Broncos and Minnesota Vikings also on the docket.
Saints futures picks and predictions
Even as shaky as New Orleans has looked at times, it is still one of the best teams in football right now. Once Thomas returns, the offense will find its rhythm again, finally having a complement to Kamara.
YES, the Saints are worth a bet to win the Super Bowl, especially with an easier schedule coming up in the second half. There’s a lot of competition in the NFC, but the Saints already beat the Bucs. They just need another statement win, which could come later in the season against the Kansas City Chiefs.
