New NASCAR team planning for Cup Series starts in 2024

This new team entering NASCAR is planning to make select Cup Series starts during the 2024 season with a notable driver.

NASCAR has attracted several new teams over the last few seasons, including 23XI Racing, Trackhouse Racing, and smaller open-car organizations. This is due to the sport’s NextGen car and it doesn’t feel like it will be slowing down any time soon. In fact, another new NASCAR team is planning to emerge during the 2024 season.

According to AutoAction’s Andrew Clarke, [autotag]Erebus Motorsport[/autotag], a Supercars Championship team, is planning on making select starts in the NASCAR Cup Series next year. The plan would be to have Brodie Kostecki as the driver while developing the organization’s relationship with Richard Childress Racing.

Kostecki made his Cup Series debut with Richard Childress Racing in the No. 33 car at the Indianapolis Road Course during the summer months. The 25-year-old driver has a desire to race more in the United States and that is specifically linked to NASCAR. Overall, this would be a great move for everyone involved as it doesn’t hurt to have new faces in new places.
